Fashion Week Milan - Dolce & Gabbana

Dolce & Gabbana shows are always theatrical and the Fall show started with an old tree emerging in the snow creating a fairy tale like setting. And fairy tales where also the topic of the collection with foxes, owls, squirrels and swans. The silhouette was classic Dolce & Gabbana and also the looks were Dolce & Gabbana classics, with the exception of corsets and long maxi dresses with empire waist.
New elements in this collection were also hoods, gloves and boots where the two designers made a reference to the menswear collection they presented earlier this year and had the topic of Norman Knights in Sicily. The hoods in harnish style were used there as well and the boots reminded in shape and partitions of the armor of knights. And indeed for the final the models came down the catwalk in a kind of crystal embellished armors in black and silver made of short dresses and bodysuits.
