Fashion Week Paris - Anthony Vaccarello
Anthony Vaccarello stumbled last year about the book "Bold , Beautiful and Damned : The World of 1980s fashion illustrator Tony Viramontes ." whose name seems to come up since the exhibition at 10 Corso Como in Milan quite often. In yesterday's show Viramontes' drawings influenced for example the sculptural patent red ruffle that curved down the front of a strapless black cocktail dress and the inverted triangle cutout on the midriff of a one-shouldered minidress. Otherwise it was more the silhouette which was reflected so that there was enough room for Vaccarello own strong signature like for example the asymmetric hems on miniskirts and the hip-high slits on the long skirts which made this collection look identifiably his own.
